Trusted Groundworks and Construction from Penwith to Falmouth

Cornwall Civils & Construction works from 14 The Strand in Newlyn, minutes from Penzance harbour, and the patch runs outwards from there. Penzance itself is home ground, and the work in and around the town, Jubilee Pool among it, is covered on our groundworks and construction in Penzance page.

West of the base that means St Just, Pendeen, Sennen, Porthcurno and Mousehole. North and east of it, Newlyn, Marazion, Hayle, St Ives, Camborne, Redruth, Helston and Falmouth, out through Praa Sands, Porthleven, Carbis Bay, Lelant, Portreath, Illogan, Pool, Constantine, Mabe, Stithians and Penryn.

Why a Locally Based Cornwall Groundworks Contractor Matters

A civils job is decided by things a drawing does not show you. Where a wagon can turn. Whether a grab lorry can reach the plot at all, or the muck has to come out to the road another way. What the ground did on the last dig two streets over. Which tip will take the arisings, and what that does to the programme.

A contractor working out of Newlyn has priced all of that here rather than read about it, so access and disposal are settled before the quote goes out instead of discovered on the first morning. It also means Matt can stand in the hole and make the call on what has come out of it.

In a county this size, the next project comes from the last one.

Expert Groundworks and Construction in Every Town We Cover

Each town page sets out how that ground and that access change the job.

How We Get to Your Site, and What Happens First

Every enquiry starts the same way wherever it sits on the patch. Matt visits the site himself to look at access for plant, ground conditions, levels, existing services, where the spoil goes and where the water goes. The quote comes back in writing with the scope and the sequence on it, and the start date is agreed against your own dates and the trades either side of us. Neither the visit nor the written quote is charged for.

The full range of groundworks and construction services is the same in every town listed above.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you cover my village?+
Most likely. The eight town pages are anchors rather than boundaries, and a good share of the work sits in the lanes and hamlets between them. Mousehole, Sennen, Porthcurno, Pendeen, Praa Sands, Porthleven, Carbis Bay, Lelant, Portreath, Illogan, Pool, Constantine, Mabe, Stithians and Penryn are all regular ground. Give us the postcode and you will get a straight answer.
How far do you travel?+
The towns listed on this page are the regular working area from Newlyn, and that is where the plant, the partner trades and the tips already are. Sites further east across Cornwall are taken on their merits, and whether we take one depends on the job itself and where it would sit in the programme. Ring and ask rather than assume.
Do you charge for travel or site visits?+
No. The site visit and the written quote that follows it are free, and travel sits inside the priced job rather than arriving afterwards as a separate line. Any change to the scope is priced and agreed in writing before it is carried out.

Tell us the town and what the site needs.

Matt will come and look at it himself, and the price comes back in writing with the scope and the sequence set out on it.
